Ending letters for a word.

( There are only few letters that can be the last letter of a word.)

Only few letters in Tamil can be used as the last letter in a word. Letters க(ka), ங(nga), ச(cha), ட(ta), த (tha), ப(pa), ற(Ra) and their secondary letter forms (except short Ugaram - கு (ku),சு(chu),டு(tu), து(thu),பு (pu),று (Ru)) DONOT come as last letters in a word. Others can be used as last letters in a word. Here is a general rule of thumb.

  இடையினம்   ய், ர் , ல் , வ், ழ் , ள்
